Summer School 2015
During this summer of 2015 I had summer school from July 6-31. I gained extreme amount of knowledge. I learned how to make a website, what stock are and how they work, how to plan your each month budget, how to save money, how to manage your money and what to spend it on and most of all I learned things about my country that I never knew which was pretty interesting.

This whole class of summer was a memorable experience. We got to go to two field trips to Bradlee Center. We visited the Wells Fargo bank and go to eat out. The most memorable part of this summer school was when we went to park and played soccer and had lunch out. Mr. Elias made the class very fun with his different technique of teaching.
For me, economics is about the world around us; it’s current; it’s always changing; it’s always interesting. It’s about the modern world; it’s about how we behave, how businesses behave and how the government behaves. Economics teaches how to make well-informed decisions. A large part of the subject is decision making: what should the government do to cut the budget deficit; what should a business do to raise profit margins. It teaches us how to go about making choices, which is vitally important in business. I am of the belief that everyone needs to know what is going on in the world. How can you make decisions like what to do for a career, what to invest your money in or what bank to use, without having some knowledge about the economy? Through studying economics you develop a financial awareness that is extremely beneficial, no matter what your career aspirations may be.
For me Personal Finance is very important because it pretty much is your life. Learning all of this material will help kids realize how things are once you get out in the world, away from your parents. I believe it should be mediatory in all high schools because it helps kids realize what they are going to have to do once they graduate, or in the years to come. I believe this will help every high school kid out in the years to come after high school. It will also help kids realize how much things cost and how to manage money a little bit better.
